CT scans, short for computer tomography (sometimes referred to as a CAT scan) is a form of advanced diagnostic imaging.
At Versa Vet CT we use the same state of the art equipment that is used in people and can diagnose abnormalities in the body the same way it does in humans.
A CT scan, takes multiple 3 D images and which can then be pieced together and can show us a far better picture of what is going on in your pet then an Xray or an ultrasound. Unlike X-rays, which provides a 2 D view of inside the body, CT images do not superimpose organs and other structures inside the body, so a clearer diagnosis can be made.
